Hi,

the last patch for outlook
<http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/MS06-003.mspx>
seems to be a bug:

My office 2000 was before this patch up to date,
after installation of this patch
office update asks me to install an update from 2002/03
<http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=1E252CCF-452A-4313-A402-B50C4405580A&displaylang=de>
whose installation fails; anyway, it should have
been installed a long time ago.

What shall I do?
De-install the last patch?
Ignore the suggested update from 2002/03?

Any hints welcome.

Toni

Toni, I wouldn't Delete a Critical Security Update because of the other
Update issue (Dec '02 Update) I think you're asking. The 2nd Update concerns
Reminders in Outlook 2K when Run in IMO (Internet Mode Only) and shouldn't be
a System buster just all of a sudden. In the Overview section of the DnLoad
page there is a "For more information" Link; Did you go there and see there
are multi-choice Update Install instructions, and various data incl IMO, etc.
? The DnLoad presumes Office 2K SP3 and Win Installer 2.0 or later are
installed. Check it out. I'm sure an MVP will show up by Monday. Also, For
some reason on my computer the Dec '02 Update Link you posted goes to a
German site; I selected English in the Drop-Dn menu but I'll be interested if
anyone else mentions it. Good Luck!

Thanks Craig for your answer.
I downloaded the right Jan.2006-patch manually,
installation without any troubles.
Office 2k SP3 and Win Installer are present.
The only amazing that an _old_ update is shown
whose installation fails.
