Office 2003 professional validation
(too old to reply)

I own a fully licensed, full version of Office 2003 Pro. This was previously
installed on a computer running XP. In Feb. 2007 I had to purchase a
replacement computer which runs Vista as the OS. I installed Office 2003 Pro
without incident and can use all programs without error. However, everytime
I try to install an Office update/upgrade I receive a validation error. I
assume that this is due to a previous registration of this product on my old
computer.

I am looking for information on how to get this validated so that I can
update/upgrade with downloads as needed.

You are obviously much more versed than I. I put "posts by CurtB" and
"CurtB's posts" in the search for box in Office Updates and net nothing
posted by CurtB.

Can you offer more help as to how to find this?

From within your newsreader:

- Sort the posts by "Sender" (or something similar) and look for "CurtB."

or

- Search for "CurtB."

The OP is not using a newsreader. He is using the CDO (Web interface) to post. A little hard to search for past postings with a Web Interface

notan - plelase disregard. I believe that I found the posts you referred to.
Unfortunately, this does not resolve the problem. Product still does not
validate even though it is activated.

I believe that this is due to a previous installation of this product on a
different computer (no longer have the computer).
