Error when installing MS Office 2000 SR1. (error. 1706)

Hi All,

We are running Microsoft Office 2000, Small Business.

When installing the MS Office 2000 SR1 Update we recieve error message 1706,
which states folder containing installation package "data1.msi" cannot be
found.

The installation starts normally and then about 1 minute into the
installation, a pop-up box appears asking us to find "data1.msi" and having
the option to select the directory, however we do not know where this file is
located.

We inserted the MS Office SMB CD Rom and found the file "data1.msi" on it,
however when selecting the file, the installation tells us that this file is
not valid and again the installation does not continue.

Any support and assistance would be greatly appreciated.
